Nike is looking for talented and energetic self-starters with a passion for Big Data and E-commerce to join our new Analytics Program. In this 6-month internship program, you will have the unique opportunity to rotate in 2 business functions to sharpen your data science skills and become consumer insights and analytics expert.
PHASE A: Quantitative market intelligence.
You will join the team who’s shaping the future of analytics at Nike. You will gain insights from data and present recommendations to senior leaders, implement capabilities such as data visualization, predictive analytics, exception-based analysis and contribute to consumers and external market trends analyses.
PHASE B: Digital analytics.
As the Digital Analytics Intern, you will be working with a talented digital team across multiple sports categories, EMEA territories, and functions to use analytics to provide actionable insight in pursuit of our aggressive annual goals. You’ll leverage reporting tools and data to provide value-added analysis to the digital team to drive the business.
This internship is for you if you know how to rise above the numbers and explain the essential insights to business users, and you instinctively minimize complexity to focus on results. While you rely on data to prove your point, you love to think outside the box and solve problems creatively. You thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, and you are excited by the challenge of building something from the ground up.
3rd/4th year student in quantitative degree (Statistics, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Economics, Operations Research, or any other related fields);
Fluency in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Advanced technical and analytical skills (R Programming, RapidMiner, SPSS, Alteryx, Tableau, Google/Adobe Analytics or similar) and excellent skills in Excel;
Proven ability to sift through data, identify critical information, develop hypothesis, perform rigorous analyses, and make intuitive recommendations;
Proactive attitude, eagerness to be an active part of the team, and taking ownerships
Academic, volunteering or previous internship experiences related to Analytics and/or Digital are a plus (please include in your CV);
Passion for the Nike brand and sports in general.
In order to be eligible for an internship, you must:
Be a student for the whole duration of the internship (enrolled in a university/higher education institution);
Have an EU passport or an EU work permit.
Start date: February 1st, 2018
Duration: 6 months
This internship is open to students outside of the Netherlands.
