Her­tie School of Gover­nance

The Her­tie School of Gov­ernance is an inter­na­tional teach­ing and research cen­ter of excel­lence that pre­pares stu­dents for lead­er­ship pos­i­tions in gov­ern­ment, busi­ness, and civil soci­ety. An inter­na­tion­ally recruited fac­ulty, inter­dis­cip­lin­ary in out­look, research, and teach­ing, offers ana­lyt­ic­ally chal­len­ging and prac­tice-ori­ented courses on gov­ernance, policy ana­lysis, man­age­ment, and lead­er­ship. As a pro­fes­sional school, Her­tie School fac­ulty has a strong com­mit­ment to high-qual­ity teach­ing. Stu­dent Assist­ant (m/f/div) - Cur­ricular Affairs

(10-15 hours/week)

in the area of course and pro­gramme man­age­ment of the Exec­ut­ive Mas­ter of Pub­lic Admin­is­tra­tion (Exec­ut­ive MPA) within the Cur­ricular Affairs team, on 2 or 3 work­ing days; start­ing date as soon as pos­sible.

Work­ing field:

  • Sup­port the course organ­isa­tion and admin­is­tra­tion, as well as instruct­ors and stu­dents of the Exec­ut­ive MPA pro­gramme
  • Sup­port pro­gramme man­age­ment (i.e. cre­at­ing inform­a­tion mater­i­als, course enroll­ment, small research tasks, work with data­sets and e-learn­ing soft­ware)
  • Gen­eral sup­port of the Cur­ricular Affairs team


  • Enrolled stu­dent at a Uni­versity for dur­a­tion of the con­tract
  • Strong Eng­lish skills (verbal and writ­ing), good Ger­man skills
  • Friendly and clear com­mu­nic­a­tion
  • Well organ­ised and struc­tured way of work­ing
  • High reli­ab­il­ity and pre­ci­sion as well as good hand­ling of con­fid­en­tial mater­ial
  • Atten­tion to detail, accur­ate and inde­pend­ent work
  • Strong MS-Office-skills, esp. Excel
  • Some exper­i­ence work­ing with data­sets or cam­pus man­age­ment sys­tems is pre­ferred

The hourly wage depends on your qual­i­fic­a­tions. We offer an hourly rate of EUR 11,00 for under­gradu­ates and EUR 12,00 for stu­dents hold­ing a bach­elor’s degree or an equi­val­ent degree.
